For Kodachrome Fans, Road Ends at Photo Lab in Kansas

Here is a article from the NY Times. I have a lot of Kodachrome slides. In it’s day, it was the best photography offered. They are the only slides that have not faded. Kodachrome is a victim of Digital Photography. I have known about this for some time. I do have some old rolls of Kodachrome that I did not process. I have not touched film since 2001.

Off to a 60D trip

I Will be using my Canon 60D as I go on a Mexican Cruise with my family. I am trying out a Tamrac Velocity 10 large sling backpack that my girlfriend gave me for Christmas. If I can get Internet access I will upload some snaps. Update: I did not have Internet access.

Canon announces mode dial locking update for Canon EOS 5D Mark II and Canon EOS 7D

This a repost from Planet 5D Blog. This one of the main reasons I switched from the 7D to the 60D. My dial was always being knocked and the mode changed. Very annoying. I am glad they are offering this fix. I guess they have crated a new camera for eBay. One with or with out the locking dial. Has yours been modified?

The Problem with a lot of Films These Daze

The problem with a lot of films these daze is that it is all about geewiz and not story. (particularly Hollywood – look at anything Micheal Bay does) This best films are the small independent film because they have to focus on story. That is what filmmaking is all about – telling a story. But this is not new.
