This is for you 60Der's. This one of the main reasons I sold my 7D. It is a lot cheaper than the new Electronic Z-Finder or Redrock.
What other HDSLR can do this.
The L-Finder. It consists of a Hoodman Hoodloupe 3.0
Here it is on Amazon:
Hoodman H-LPP3 HoodLoupe 3.0 Professional 3-Inch Screen Loupe
and the Hoodman HCAMM Neoprene Camorder Mount Strap
Here it is:
Hoodman HCAMM Neoprene Camorder Mount Strap
This works well. Other loupes would be too heavy for the 60D LCD in that it would swivel on its own.
It is also being offered one unit.
What other HDSLRs?
Those by Panasonic.
The Panasonic’s will work with it. Olympus E-5 should work as well. None from Sony, Pentax or Nikon yet. The L-Finder of course was made for video cameras with fold out LCD’s.

I have tried this combo on the 60D, and the LCD DOES swivel on it’s own, contraery to what the OP states. It does NOT work well, and I use a HoodCrane instead.
It works well on my 60D. Just used it at NAB.
Hmmm…mine swivels on it’s own and does not stay in place while shooting – making it relatively useless. How do you prevent it from moving? Maybe your LCD has a newer, stiffer hinge, while mine has loosened with more use.

I do not drop a leave a response, but after browsing a few of the remarks on The L-Finder &. I do have 2 questions for you if you don’t mind. Could it be just me or does it look as if like a few of these comments come across as if they are written by brain dead folks? 😛 And, if you are writing on additional online sites, I’d like to follow you. Would you post a list of the complete urls of all your public pages like your linkedin profile, Facebook page or twitter feed? (EDIT: Very Top of Page)
